Just bought & installed new water heater last night — No hot water!?
My husband and his friend are pretty handy and installed it themselves. They said it was a piece of cake. I haven’t looked over the instructions but it looks okay. Everyone told us it would take a while for the water to all heat up — it’s electric btw — 50 gallon — anyhow… i’ve googled this and can’t find anything. Any suggestions? I’d like to shower this weekend! Thanks!! 
1) we installed more than 24 hours ago
2) the breaker’s fine
3) it LOOKS like it was installed correctly. but again, I haven’t gone over the instructions. hoping he didn’t throw them out. 
oh & what’s a disconnect switch?
