trying to save my cactus?

I over water one of my favored cactus and I’ve it for a long time, now I am trying to save it or the babies on the side of it.don’t know how to root them .I live in PA and right now its ‘cold out with lost of snow so no sunshine to help can any one help me I don’t what to lose it.Thank you for your help to all.
