What Colour Carpet?!?! Please Help :-) Xx?

Hi everyone! I am looking to buy a red and grey sofa (there is a link to the picture below). I am totally unsure of what colour carpet to go for. I don’t want a cream coloured/light coloured carpet because it will stain far too easily and I want the carpet to go well with the sofa. Do I go for a dark grey or a red carpet, or maybe a colour completely different? The colour has to be user friendly as it’s for a busy family home (with a dog!) so its going to be well warn and walked on.
