What is this speckled stuff? ?
I am removing linoleum from my kitchen. Under the linoleum is some speckled flooring with hardwood underneath. What is this speckled flooring? I like the way it looks and can’t really afford to re-finish the hardwood. Is it safe to keep as the working floor? I will have to patch some cracks where the hardwood shows through, can I use grout or some sort of plaster?
